One day your walking down the hall in school and you make eye contact with someone passing by. They look away quickly, not giving you a second glance as if you were a stranger. Memories cross through your mind and you take a glimpse at your past. Remembering back to your times when the stranger you just passed in the hall was your best friend in the world. You spent every second together. You told each other everything. Insane how two people can go from having the closest friendship to having nothing to do with each other.
Friendship.
Something that I cherish very close to my heart.
To me, my friends mean the world. I love them just as much as I love anyone in my family, they are part of my family to. I try not to believe that I need anyone, but i'm not gonna lie, there are certain people in my life that I really do need. They create me and make me whole, they make me Bridgette.
Some people are in your life to stay, and there are others that someday might drift away. I hate to say that, but I am sure you know, it happens. Crazy how quickly and out of no where you can lose a friend. Sometimes you don't even have an understanding as to why they are going, so you just have to deal with the confusion.
I've made my mistakes and hurt people I never wished to have hurt, but from these mistakes I have learned how to be a better, more kinder friend and person.
I've learned that it is important to keep the people i love in my life as close to me as possible, and to remind them how much they really do mean to me.
Friends are important. If you want to hold on you your friends, then hold them close to your heart, tell them that you love them, remind them how important they are to you. Be a true friend to them, and hopefully you will have a true friend in return.
To all my friends, remember that I love you dearly and you are the ones who make me who I am.

  1. Bridgette!
first of all, your blog is beautiful! Really, I love your backround:-) lol. But not only are the pictures pretty, your words are lovely as well. You speak in a deep-but-straight-to-the-point way. Which some people lack. Friends are also really important to me, because they help a lot of people through life. I used to think you were a little weird, I won't deny, but since I've gotten to know you, I have realized that you are one of the most unique people I have ever met, and you are more yourself than most people I know. You have a beautiful mind and body so always be yourself:-)
    love ~Toni Rae:)

  2. Really Deep Bridgette. I have to agree that my friends do make me who i am today and some of my best friend are now like family to me. When the times are down, there the people that bring you back up. In the past, as i lost friends that changed me, it hurt but i just had to get back up and move on. As i go through life, i will remember this blog and how it reminds me to keep close with all of my friends.

  3. Friends are a really easy to take for granted. I remember losing my closest friend to the air force. The day he left I remember telling him "Holbrook just won't be the same without you bro." Then once school started up again it felt as if I had lost my right arm but thankfully I had other friends that got me rolling again. As life crawls on we need to try and keep our friends close because together we can always find a way to make the sunshine on a rainy day.
